Bottle @ Home. Pours dark amber with a small creamy offwhite head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, sweet fruit, nuts, wood. Taste is malts, sweet and bitter fruits, piney hops, light caramel, wood. Medium body, average carbonation, alcohol well hidden. 210112

A pretty solid example of this style. +++ Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a slightly hazy red-caramel color with a medium sized creamy tan head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was sweet cherry, fig, nut and toffee. The flavor was bitter and sour caramel, fig. tobacco and toffee. The finish was medium length sour and tart cherry and toffee. Moderately full bodied. Solid.

355 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet Vika, Oslo. ABV is 5.8%. Dark brown colour, nearly black. Huge and lasting beige head. Moderate aroma of dark / roasted malts and ice coffee, a hint of dark chocolate. Soft, dry and quite drinkable flavour, notes of black malts and mild coffee, hints of dark chocolate and ashes. Nothing exceptional here, but okay. Won’t buy again though.

355ml bottle. Clear dark amber with only a thin off-white, almost yellow film. Sweet malt aroma with hoppy overtones and a Marmite background. Taste is superposed by hop bitterness, leaving not enough room for development of thy malty part. Bitter and warming finish. A bit unbalanced in my opinion.

Bottle. Dark orange colour with an off white head. Lots of caramel in the aroma. Caramel and raisin flavour.

On tap at the mad mex south hills. A little darker than a pale lager. Very fresh smeeling brew. Small amount of co2 present on the palate. Quite easy, much better than I was expecting. Smooth with no real ill ale effects in there. Nothing I can really say bad about this brew. Just plain easy going well behaved beer fun. An unexpected good beer experience. I would say this is more like a mild ale than a bitter.
