Jever both light and dark have a unny tang that i dont take to. golden color lagger hop with odd herbyness very very bitter. Better in cask, than bottle scored cask

Bottle. Clear pale gold body below a dense white head. Strong aroma of grass, straw, bread with a hint of pine, citrus and skunk. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture and lively carbonation. Crisp mouthfeel. Smooth and dry. Very nice balance of pilsener malts and a bitterness that lingers, but doesn’t detract from its crispness. I am enjoying and appreciating below 5% ABV beers more and more. This is one of them.

Giftgrüne Farbe. Süßer, aber annehmbarer Antrunk, eine verhaltene Herbe ist im Antrunk und im Nachgeschmack erkennbar. Im Mittelteil gibt es keine Überraschungen, süß, leicht fruchtig, was etwas künstlich wirkt. Im Nachgeschmack ist neben dem angesprochenen herben Touch auch zu erkennen, dass hier Süßstoffe am Werk waren. Auch bleibt eine unangenehme Note am Gaumen kleben, erinnert an eine Aspirin Tablette. Alles in allem eigentlich ein normales Radler, geht durchaus in Ordnung. Test vom 18.1.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 7,8,8,7,11,8 - 7,90

Bottle Deep black body. Lightly brown head, which diminishes totally. Faint malty aroma. Lightly bitter, boring flavour. Gone by the sink.

Pours a clear pale straw color with a medium thick and fizzy white head that burns away rapidly. Patchy lacing. Aroma of mild hops and hay. Light-bodied and effervescent with a dry mouthfeel. Lightly bitter hops and sour fruit flavors are pretty much the only flavors. The finish is dry and hoppy with some sweetness coming through. Not as easy to drink as most Pilseners. Fairly average all around.

I purchased this beer on the advince of a German man with a Texas accent. Didn’t have a fridge, so he told me that Jever still tastes good warm. I am giving definate props to the beer for pulling off such an amazing feat. Certainly it would have tasted smoother and more refreshing if it was cold, but the beer was still smooth and flavourful without the refridgeration.

Bottle. Frothy lightbrown fair mostly deminishing head. Darkamber colour. Heavy malty light hoppy aroma. Week caramellic flavor, average bitter finish. Watery palate.

Bottle 0,5l at The St Albans Beer Festival 28 Sep 06. Yellow coloured. A huge lasting head. Hoppy flavour. Sourish fruity flavour. Bitterness coming after a while - and lasting. Sourish bitter ending. A good pilsener.
