1l-bottle, best before Jan 15. Rated as "Parbo Bier". Malzig-süßliches und recht neutrales Bier. Sehr süffig, leicht süßlich. Kaum herb. Süßlich-weich, leicht metallischer neutraler Nachgeschmack. Süffig, aber nicht tief.

Tasted as Parbo Bier, the most popular beer from Suriname, from a brewery in Paramaribo owned by Heineken. Tasted from a 50 cl can. Stable, regular, off-white head, clear golden blonde colour with vivid sparkling. Malt sweetness and rice in the nose, grassy hops, old cookies, soap, iron. Neutral and mineral-like onset, shifting into a simple pale malt sweetness in which some rice sweetishness also appears, as in an Asian lager, sweetish finish with a grassy hop bitterishness which lasts longer than expected. Thirst-quenching, straightforward and simple but very drinkable for a lager made in a country without a real beer culture, I had many European mass-marketed lagers of lesser quality. Thanks a lot Maaike, for bringing me the can!

Pours a clear golden color, topped with a medium frothy head that immediately settles to only a small lacing around the brim. There is a fairly mild malty aroma. not much else here. The taste is light, sweet and watery. No real bitterness in the finish. Slightly biscuity aftertaste. Drinkable, but not much to the taste.

Clear golden with big white head. Taste is sweet grains more like quinoa than barley, cardboard, light spices and a hint of herbal bitter in the finish. Nasty chemical aftertaste. Starts ok but the finish is pretty bad.
