This one was a bit of a surprise. Sampled on draft at the Cranberry PA location this beer poured a bright copper-amber color with a small white head. The aroma was light sweetish tangy pale lager. The flavor was sweet, tangy and a bit nutty with a light fruity hop undertone. The finish was long and the body was surprisingly full. Nice for what it is.

OG 13P, FG 4.2P alky by weight is 3.7% and the IBU is at 14.9! Ubiquitous pale yellow american lager color and appearance. Typical lager beer aroma without corn and has some slight sweet perfumy hints in there. Also on the taste I detect some earthy background, but you really have to search for it. Has a warming sensation on the palate, something you rarely get with lower alky beers. Mild to medium premium lager bite near the rear of the palate. Has more personality when compared to a pale lager. Is less carbonated too. Medium industrial lingering bite on the finish. Certainly more than you would expect with a 15 IBU. Not too bad for a premium lager.

On tap at the restaurant/brewpub in Escanaba. About 3/4 stout, 1/4 pale ale (this appears to be a combination of their Oatmeal Stout and Hop Rocket Pale/Amber). Thick, creamy buff head. The hoppy pale ale flavors kick in first, but each swirl reveals more roasted malt and chocolate. Both of the base beers are better than average, so the combined product was pretty good too.

On tap at the restaurant/brewpub in Escanaba. Awesome that they can measure the ABV to a hundredth of a percent...anyway, deep, murky orange-brown body with strong carbonation, medium buff head. Spicy, floral hops aroma, light at serving temperature. Full, piney, floral hops body with strong hoppy bite, backed by dry caramely and toasty malts. A bit citrusy. A fair offering. This was listed as the "Hop Rocket Pale Ale," not Amber Ale.

On tap at the restaurant/brewpub in Escanaba. Clear straw body, medium off-white head. Grassy nose. Grassy, spicy, floral hops body with a crackery bite, quite full-flavored for the style. The bready malt features a touch of lemon. Dry, firm, bitter hops finish. Spritzy. Refreshing.

On tap at the brewpub/restaurant in Escanaba. Hazy, dirty light orange body, thin off-white head. Good estery, earthy, yeast-forward nose with coriander and wheaty tang. The body can be essentially described as a "yeast pulp," with creamy, spicy esters dominating citrusy, tangy wheat. A bit rough around the edges, lacking the crispness and finesse of the best wits. Does have good heft and mouthfeel.
