So deep a beer, so little abv. Black as night... small head. LOOKS delicious! Faint smell- roasted & toasted, but not quite. Slightly smokey in flavor, but not quite- nice! Slightly bitter. No alcohol present in the taste (at 3.2 it's no surprise). A good drinkable, session type beer- low in abv, nice in flavor.

Willoughby Brewing Company beers... well, never had one that was exceptional, but they're always fun to try- and they're really not bad. Deep brown in color, almost no head. Smells spicey, a little- hints of nutmeg. Slightly pumpkiny, you know this is a pumpkin brew no doubt, but it's not overly special. VERY thin in the mouth, which seems to be a problem with many of their brews, but drinkable when it's around.

I heard Black Douglas and I thought dark dark dark... nope. It's a brown ale... not much of a head, but it laces nicely. Average brown ale smell... Pretty average taste, but had a little something in there that was trying to work its way out. I wish they would have gone that route, because it was promising, with a sad finish. Drinkable, no doubt.

Appearance: cloudy, almost looks like apple cider with a thick white head that disappears almost completely. Smell: very little, actually Taste: strange, sweet and thick, not beer flavored. Mouthfeel: not bad, feels kinda good This beer gets an average drinkability. At 10% abv, you're gonna get drunk quick... and it's a bit too sweet and thick to consume more than one.

Beautiful color... I don't even know how to describe it. A bit amber, a bit tan, a bit orange, a bit red, but not mixed, it seemed like it was layered (it wasn't, but it seemed that way). Very little head. Smell... ahhh. I loved it, smelled fantastic. Fruity & floraly, with a hint of alcohol. My companion didn't find the smell appealing, however. Taste. NICE, smooth, but thick, and a bit on the sweet side. However, the sweetness coated the alcohol, making its appearance in this beer hidden. Mouthfeel: a bit thin due to lack of carbonation, but thick & syrupy as well. Drinkable if you have one. More than one and you'll be feeling it... too much sweetness to handle more than a nice sized sampling (pint in my case).

This time instead of a trippel, they went with the dubbel, and I must say it's been an improvement. The trippel had too much of an alcohol taste right up front. Nice dirty brown, small head. Cloudy and thick looking. No smell... unless my nose is broken. Sweet cider with hints of chocolate and alcohol. Nice and not overpowering. A little thin in the mouth, but OK.

Shore Line Light finally made a reappearance after awhile off of the chart. Looks like Bud Light... pale yellow, tiny head, low carbonation... Smells... well, not much of a smell. Not bad, but there's nothing there. Tastes remarkably like Bud Light-- but with a tiny bit of something extra... not bad, but far from good. Drinkable, especially for the people coming in that are used to macros.

A very average beer from an above average brewing company. Probably the worst I have had from them, and it really wasn't bad at all. Looks like mainstream beer (ie Bud, Miller, etc), and smells pretty much the same. Taste is a bit better, but something about it didn't spark with me. The last beer I'd choose from this brewery I visit often.

Appearance: Nice amber colored with a small head Smell: sweet, but not too sweet Taste: sweet and thick. Tastes nice, but is thick and filling (maybe too filling). Mouthfeel: Nice, but still a bit on the sweet side. This beer is drinkable, but maybe a little too filling. I can't see having more than two of them before feeling bloated.

BEAUTIFUL beer. Looked a lot like the beauty of Guinness, completely with the light fluffy head. Not much of a smell whatsoever. Taste: a hint of smokiness, but not really enough to make it all worthwhile. Not bad, but I really expected more. Light and watery in the mouthfeel. I had two of these back to back, and it didn't fill me up. However, after two I had the urge to switch to another (and better) brew.
