Bottle 50 cl. Pours black with a reddish hue and a lacing, beige head. Roasty nose with a little licorice and veggies. Medium body, dark fruit, subtle roast and again licorice. Rather raw and unsophisticated - like most Baltic Porters, but this really is a low even for the style. 100314

Bottle 50 cl. Pours an almost clear pale golden with a white head. Very neutral aroma, perhaps a discreet - very discreet - whiff of yeast. Medium body, sweet malts and sweet fruit with a vaguely perfumy note. Some late bitter hops. Very little Saison character here. 100314

Bottle 50 cl. Pours an almost clear golden with a white head. Very subdued aroma - more malty than hoppy. Rather odd soapy flavour, minty even. Rather unexpected, but far from unpleasant. Dry, hoppy finish. Nice. 100314

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear deep golden with a lacing, off-white head. Sweet, malty nose with a whiff of diacetyl. Medium body, again sweet malts, a touch of caramel and flowery hop accents. Good balancing bitterness. Decent alright. 100314

Bottle at Fastelavn Smagning 2014 @ J&Cβs beer palace, Jutland 28/02/14. Hazed orange amber with a moderate off white covering. Nose is pale malts, light spice, orange, bitter citric notes, straw, pretty basic. Taste comprises bitter orange, lemon rind, citric dipped straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a pinch of spice. So so, lacks any depth, the appearance and mouthfeel drag this one up a little!
