Bottle at Fastelavn Smagning 2014 @ J&C’s beer palace, Jutland 28/02/14. Hazed dark chestnut brown with a moderate light beige covering that clears to a swirl and edgework. Nose is toffee, light cocoa, dark fruit pangs, fruit cake mix. Taste comprises dark toffee fudge, light roast, rye bread, earthy cocoa. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with bery subtle smoke. Ok - very little in the way of smoke though - Rausch Light!

Nose is light roast, toffee fudge, earthy cocoa, malty. Taste is more refined comprising, bitter roasted tones, dark chocolate, toffee, molasses. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok.

Taste comprises light roast, hint of booze, dark toffee fudge, earthy cooca. Medium + body, fine carbonaion, semi drying close. So so, drinkable affair but lacks depth for the ABV.

Nose is yeast esters, light spice, dark fruits, toffee notes. Taste comprises caramel, light booze, big yeast licks, bitter orange, more yeast esterism. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a little booze. Ok.

Nose is light roast, dark fruits, toffee, orchard fruit twinges. Taste comprises light roast, earthy tones, hint of cocoa powder, dark fruit. Medium bodied, fone carbonation, semi drying close. Ok porter, fairly simplistic but ticks the boxes.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a reddish amber with a slight haze and an off-white head. Chewy, nutty, grainy aroma. Medium-bodied with a little caramel and a dry, hoppy finish. A pretty straight up Bock - if a little too light in alcohol. But well brewed. 050314

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a hazy amber with a dense, off-white head. Very fruity nose with a touch of Belgian yeast. Medium body, caramel and fruit with a distinct Belgian yeastiness. A little late hops. A very straight and decent Belgian Blond. 040314
