Description
This dream began in 1996 when a Colombian with a passion for beer traveled to Atlanta (United States) in search of learning everything related to the world of craft beer. There he worked for six years at Sweet Water, one of the leading microbreweries in North America, which taught him everything necessary to create a high-quality artisan product.
In 2007 he returned to Colombia, where he wanted to share all his knowledge about the beer culture by founding a new and unique artisan brand: 3 Cordilleras.

3 Cordilleras opened its doors in 2008 in the city of Medellín, creating a series of 6 craft beers that today captivate the palates of all those who are willing to discover the territories of Colombia just by uncovering a beer.

In 2020 3 Cordilleras opens the doors to its second national brewery in Bogotá to continue conquering Colombians.

Light stout. A fair amount of roast malt up here, with nut and coffee. Pours dark brown with great head and lacing. Soft carbonation – 3 Cordilleras seem to have their carbonation and pours down pretty well, for what it’s worth. Finishes sour and bitter in a light dose. Well-balanced but light on overall feel for style. These guys need to get over the Latin American brewery standard of calling styles of beer colours and make up their minds about some actual styles and they will do better. On tap at Medellin Beer Factory in Parque Lleras.
