Description
Family-run micropub and cafe on the ground floor of a block of student apartments close to Coventry Rail Station.

Their own Triumph beers are brewed at the rear of the premises behind the bar area. At least one of them will be served direct from the tank - ask the bar staff when you visit.

Keg @ Coventry Beer Festival. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are malt, yeast, hops, fruits and has a sweet malty finish.

Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured a golden with a white head. Aroma is wheat, banana, light clove. Taste is clove, wheat, light banana.

Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured an orange with a white bubbly head. Aroma is a bit buttery, malts, fruits. Taste is fruity forward, butter, toffee, sweet malts.

11/5/2020. Bottled from draught from the Castle Yard Tap Room, Coventry. 5.8% abv. Pours just about clear pale gold with a bubbly white head. Aroma of citrus, banana, wheat, coriander and peppery notes. Medium sweetness and light bitterness with a very slight tart edge. Moderate body, average carbonation. Quite drinkable.

11/5/2020. Bottled from draught from the Castle Yard Tap Room, Coventry, for whom this English Ale is brewed exclusively. Pours slightly hazy pale amber with a lasting off-white head. Aroma is fresh, sweet toffee and quite fruity, with light malt, hop and biscuit. Medium sweetness, light to moderate bitterness. Medium body, slightly sticky, soft carbonation. Very nicely done.
