Bottle @ Seabass going away party, Jan15th ’11. brune foncée approchant le noir, col est mi-café au lait.beige. Malt et caramel, note moka avec au fini une légère amertume de chocolat. Alcool est réchauffant au palais.

Bottle shared by Shane, thanks! Poured black with a brown head that dissipated quickly to the edges. Aroma had some dark fruits with roasted malt and dark grains. There was a nice bourbon note as well. Flavor began with roasted malts and dark fruits and was balanced out by the bourbon in the finish. A smooth beer as well, but lacked a little body.

Bottle thanks to my Secret Santa! Poured near black with a brown head that lasted throughout the beer. Aroma was full of roasted malts with dark grains, chocolate and a hint of slight coffee. Flavor was also full of roasted dark grains with a bit of coffee coming out in the finish.

Bottle shared generously by jcwattsrugger. Pours black. Excellent lacing. Nose and taste of honey, bourbon, vanilla and cocoa. A bit phenol at times. Body could have been a wee bit thicker. Overall, a very solid imperial stout.

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of chocolate and roasted malt as well as lighter notes of hops. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of chocolate combined with medium notes of alcohol and wood, leading to a dry finish where the notes of chocolate and alcohol carries thru. Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of chocolate, malt, and cocoa. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, cocoa, and alcohol, leading to a dry cocoa finish. The alcohol tickles the tongue.

75cl Bottle. Thanks to J&C. Pours pitch black with a creamy beige head and lacings. Nose is chocolate, roast, coffee and bourbon. Smooth and creamy. Some liquorice. Oily and vinous. Vague vanilla and oak. Niceness!
