Description
De Halve Maan Brewing Company is a family brewery in the heart of Bruges, Belgium. The brewery was restarted and refined by Veronique Maes in 2005. With unique beer recipe on the work, the brewery was renamed as ‘Brugse Zot’. Brugse Zot beer became the only beer that is personally brewed in the town center of Bruges. The Brugse Zot and Straffe Hendrik beers are two of the brewery’s finest types of beers. Straffe Hendrik beer is filled with bitter ale while the Brugse Zot is rich in fruity flavor along with different types of malts and hoppy aromas.

Tight pale brown head on a dark brown body. Bourbon, chocolate, & biscuit aroma. Medium to full, smooth with a sharper clean back. Raisin, berries, bourbon, chocolate & berry tastes with a tangy fruited finish. Excellent.

Bottle at home. Dark amber brown color, medium sized tan head. Aroma and flavor are malts, caramel a bit, toffee and banana-ish, brown candy sugar, lightly boozy. Not bad at all.

Bottle at home grabbed bunch of winter warmer quite brews today. Dark ruby pour and some beige top. Nose is alcohol and dark fruits. Tatses of cherry, alcohol, molasses, raisin, licorice. Alcohol warming.

Bottle, 75cl corked. An unclear reddish dark brown beer with a big, collapsing beige head. Some curtains left. The aroma has the typical Quad elements of dark dried fruit, toffee and yeasty spices and some toffee. It’s full-bodied and quite effervescent, semi-sweet, yet with a dryish finish. Dark dried fruit, some toffee and a yeasty hint in the flavor, spiced. Lasting finish. A decent quad, nothing more. 241129
