500ml (thx, Mathieu A.!) @ Ryan's. Appearance: pink-ish golden with no head. Aroma: artificial (but pretty pleasant) fruity aroma. Taste: along the same lines, moderately sweet, fruity, some apples. Overall: pleasant enough.

Poured from 500mL bottle (cuvee 22/23). Clear pale rose gold with no head. Mild cassis character with the sweet apples. Slightly floral. Decent. Slightly underwhelming, like the Steinbach Cristal de Glace.

Poured from 200mL (9.5% abv; label now reads cidre de glace, but website still lists as cristal). Clear-ish blonde gold. Herbal dandelion leaf-like quality with stewed apples. Decent, but room for improvement.

200ml (thx, Mathieu P.!) @ Ryan's after kids' time. Appearance: hazy blonde. Aroma: quite weird, like freshly cut weed with some apples, sweetness and some acidity. Taste: along the same lines. Overall: kinda weird a bit, but it's still pleasant.

(Sampler @ the cidery, Oct X 2019) Pours . Notes dominated by heavy strawberry, both fresh and preserved jammy, with quite high sweetness, moderate sweet red apple base beneath but really all about that berry red fruit vibe, light tannins from fruit skins, not much phenol for a strawberry cider, finishing quite sweet with warming alcohol in evidence. Medium-full oily syrupy body, still. Feels as much like a strawberry fortified wine as a cider, but that's cool because it's a decent little beverage anyway.

(Sampler @ the cidery, Oct X 2019) Pours clear deep gold with no head. Notes of moderately sweet, slightly caramelized red apples with subtle tropical fruit/melon accents, light woodsiness, a bit of honey and spice but rather restrained, subtle minerality. Overall balance is light sweet and very light tart, not terribly punchy or deep for an ice cider. Medium bodied, somewhat oily, still. Decent enough but doesn't really showcase the depth or complexity of a great ice cider.

(Sample @ the cidery, Oct X 2019) Pours clear lightly pink-tinged orange with no real head. Notes of sweet red apples and honey with rather potent black currant that is more on the sweet than tannic, bitter side, kind of toasty baked notes for a little richness, finishing off-dry with lingering black current candy. Medium bodied, somewhwat oily and still. Decent but I didn't feel like the currants integrated so well, and a visit to Monna is better for your cassis fix on the island.

(Sampler @ the cidery, Oct X 2019) Pours clear bright gold with no head. Notes of rather sweet red apples with a subtle crispness, a bit of honey sweet accent, clear pit fruit quality, light spicy floral yeast notes, touch of bitterness in the off-dry finish. Medium bodied, a little oily, still. Not bad for what it is but I'm not a huge fan of these strong wine-type still ciders without the concentration of an ice cider.
