Bottle. Some diacetyl in this one, with notes of orange marmalade. Malt, caramel notes and some piney hints. Could've been a nice one without the diacetyl. 545412 251227

nice aroma, sweet sugary malty, flowery hoppy with some pine needles and grapefrut hops too.more UK ish flowery than west coastish grapefruit piney though. good balance.
flavor is very dry crisp malty, flowery hoppy, slight more hoppy bitter ending. very quenching and easy drinking, should work well with food. Tastes a bit like a hoppy pilsener. Very food friendly.

spicy fruty belgian yeasty aroma, a bit to the fruity sweet side, which makes it less crisp that the best belgians, the fruity sweetness reminds me of german hefeweisen.
flavor is belgian yeasts spiciness, faint wheat malty like fruitiness, citrus fruit peel. less sweet than aroma and works pretty well, becoming quite belgian and tasting somewhere between a blonde and a tripel.

500 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 8.5%. Brown colour, small off-white head. Aroma of brown malts, brown sugar and Belgian ale yeast, hints of spices. The flavour has the same elements, not too sweet , moderately spicy and quite enjoyable.

hazy orange with a brown note, beige to slightly light brown head.
quite malty aroma, also a tiny bit of notes that is similar to oxidation or perhaps you could say cellary notes, the quite strong malty sweetness has a fruity note i cannot pin down, it resembles, slighlty, the banana fruity note you might find in a german hefe - but this time only as a fine subtle note into the sweet malts. the totality in only a few words would be sweet malty with overripe fruity notes. flavor is malty, sweet slightly fruity syrupy note, you could say sweet malty with a lot of character. also reminds me of polish strong supermarket ale (same boozy sweetness) so.. it's not entirely fantastic. in the end it's more like a cheap booze-bomb, than something more refined. tastes like a headache if you drink a few of these boys.

cloudy yellow, light yellow to offwhite smooth head.
aroma is belgian yeasts centric. a bit like a tripel, but slightly more oranges sweet, good malts/yeasts balance in the aroma, smooth aroma, comes off as well balanced yet complex and interesting and a bit wild. does not feel industrial as some of the larger belgians can do.
flavor is quite yeasty, citrussy notes, spices like lemongrass and coriander taken to the limit of reasonable, ends lemongrassy and slightly citrussy with a very belgian feel to it.

slightly cloudy orange, beige smooth head
spicy sweet aroma, pumpkin and spicy cake spices blend well with sweet malts to do a spicy sweet malty aroma.
flavor is sweet malty, sweet spicy, spicy cristmas cakes, there is a hoppy balance, but it is sort of hidden a bit, yet provides a lot of edge and fresh'ish'ness to the beer.
pretty good spicy strong ale, they went as far as one can go before it gets silly.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours an almost clear golden with a small, off-white head. Malty nose with a floral edge. Medium body, very sweet maltiness, a hint of sulphur and a subtle bitterness. Tastes like a Helles. 041225

Malt with some sourness in the nose. A subtle mixture of caramel, peaches, and pears on top of buscuity malt. Very European in that it is rich, sweet and has no evidence of hops. Well crafted but quite one sided.
