Bottle @ Fox and Hounds, sønderborg. Pours cloudy amber with airy but stable white head. Clear aroma of citrus and hops, with estery notes and touches of malt. Bitter flavour of hops and citrus, with sweetish fruity and estery notes and touches of bread and malt. Malty and estery aftertaste with citric notes. Well-balanced and quite enjoyable, but the bready notes are rather unnecessary IMHO.

(Bottle) Black colour with brief, foamy, brown head. Malty, roasted, vinous nose with espresso, sweet liquorice, caramel, wood and rum. Malty, roasted taste with notes of black coffee, liquorice, caramel, tar, wood, rum, prunes, cacao, cinnamon and a balanced roasty bitterness in a vinous finish with a warming rum touch. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Hardly shy and smooth, but quite tasty with lots of liquorice and a good splash of rum. Very nice.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a hazy amber with a smallish, off-white head. Sweet, oxidized, pruney, caramellish nose. Rich, malty sweet body, lowish carbonation. Biscuity, tons of crystal malt and nuts with sufficient hops for balance. A little archaic but drinkable. 220421
