On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear yellow gold with small frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is grass and lemon zest. Thin, grass, lemon, wheat, crisp, good.

On tap at BruFrou Fest. It is a deep brown/black with a luscious peanut butter nose. Full bodied and smooth its nutty like chunky peanut butter but then has a chocolate syrup component as well. A fun beer.

Sample at Collaboration Fest on 03/19/2016. Dark brown color with a medium thin tan head that dissipates steadily to a film. Sticky short strings of lacing. Aroma of hops, pine and malt. Medium body with flavors of resiny hops, roast malt and a bit of chocolate. The finish is roasty up front with an earthy hop aftertaste. Above average overall.

GABF 2015. Black beer, khaki colored head. Not as rich and smooth as the porter from Dangerous Man in Minneapolis. Thick palate. I can taste the peanut butter, with heavily roasted grain. I wonder if the high abv might have hurt the flavors. Still, good beer.

Draft. Golden body with a short, white head. Aroma of toasted grain, citrus, light peach, mustiness. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, sticky texture, lively carbonation. Light peach taste, but mostly sweet/citrus/earthiness/light lingering bitterness.

Tap at the brewery - ugh, worst of my flight - sweet and simplistic - flavors of brown sugar, raisin, boiled celery, some sulphur - some egg shell mineral chalkiness - ick.

Tap at the brewery - very rich an toasty maltiness, with a lot of hearty dark bread character, but also a moderate huskiness that is amplified by a higher than usual bitterness for the style - some notes of raisin, pumpernickel, toffee - leafy, bitter, and somewhat husky finish - like the other beer here, needs some cleaning up.

Tap at the brewery - why would you add honey AND candi sugar to a saison?- how sweet does it need to be? - anyway, that’s a minor complain here, as this needs significant cleaning up - a lot of dirty, off phenolics - eggshell - moderate bitterness, but sharp spiciness - it is actually decently dry in the finish, and has some decent rustic, earthy character - finish is al honey sweetness, though - despite my rating, it has some promise, but right now is all over the place.

Tap at the brewery - lightly hazy gold - lightly floral nose and flavor - soft, semi-sweet maltiness, a dry mineral character - however, there is also moderate creamed corn character, as well as a yogurty yeastiness, both.of which really ruin this.
