Bottled Hazy orange, small head. Slightly darker then athe reference version. Served in wide mouthed tulip it was impossible to discerne any difference from the reference version,. With a more thin mouthed tulip some oak and vanilla came through. nevertheless double IPAs are pointless to barrel age the hops hide the wood, and if it comes through it just clashes.

Bottled Hazy orange, small head. Slightly more lively then the reference version. There is a mere whiff of vanilla, then itโs more or less exactly the same as the reference beer. Barrel aging of double IPAs is always a silly idea.

Bottled Hazy orange, small head. The hop aromas are diminished by the wood. Tastes more or less like the reference stuff, just less. Wood aging of double IPAs is always a silly idea.

Bottle that I picked up from GBBF 09, consumed 22-08-09 Pours amber with a big white bubbly head. Aroma is tropical fruit but softened compared to the base beer. Enjoyable beer but for me the beer loses something in this barrel ageing, I preferred the base beer. A7 A3 F7 P4 Ov14 3.5

Bottled@GBBF2009. Hazy yellowish orange colour, small white head. Aroma is big time Nelson Sauvin hops. Flavour is fruity, hoppy, yeasty and also some slight wooden notes. Hides alcohol extremely well, and is very drinkable.

Bottled@GBBF. Murky yellow color, small steady white head. Intensive tropical fruity aroma: kiwi, peach. Tropical fruits - very typical exotic flavor from Nelson Sauvin. Kiwi, peach, apricot. Hides alcohol very well. Nice

Bottled (at ChrisO, "base"). Orange color, small white head, some lace. Strong aroma of orange and tropical fruits. Very citrus acidic flavor, lime, lemon grass, kiwi, mango. Quite fruity. A bit alcoholic. Interesting. Would like to try other versions as well.
