In 1935 Willy and Mark Van den Bossche, the 2nd generation, take the helm and further expand the brewery. Ignace son of Mark Van den Bossche, 3rd generation, becomes active in the brewery in 1976. In 2015 Bruno Van den Bossche takes over the brewery from his father. The 4th generation is now taking the lead.

8% alcohol. It does seem to want to go over after opening as well. Smell-weak, spice, acidic, hops. Foam-thin, large in mouth, weak bitter notes some citrus and yeast.Head is large, white color. It seems to stick. Appearance-unique very nice looking bottle cap, probably for brewer but hard to tell, the bottle itself is kind of simple but good looking but combined with an awesome bottle cap, I must give 4 here. Clear, light orange amber, weak carbonation. From- snifter Taste - bitter-sweet, hops, citrus, fruits, yeast, faint Belgian notes. Some alcohol as well. Interesting, maybe a bit to the bitter side in the background, but seems to be enjoyable still.

Thick, irregular snowwhite head, fed by lively and fine carbonation in clear old golden beer. Sweet nose with a caramel overload, caramel-covered peanuts, later fresher aroma as from garden herbs. Fleeting bitterness, fleeting sweetness, light CO² acidity, all furtive, returning to the caramelised peanuts. Spritzy carbonation, bit slick and sticky, empty finish. Weak, insignificant beer, well befitting the third rate actress on the label.

330ml bottle @Bir&fud Bottega (Rome). Bruna, intensa, schiuma avorio abbondante, discretamente persistente. Al naso note di toffee, zucchero di canna, leggero tostato. In bocca è dolce all'attacco, caramello, chiusura amarognola. Corpo esile, carbonazione medio-leggera. Non lascia il segno.
