At Zythos Beer Festival 2010. Bright maroon color, large amount of lacing. Aroma of burnt espresso. Taste starts sweet, the progresses to Starbucks and bitter cocoa. Nice enough.

20-10-2011:It’s a little too carbonated which gives an unpleasant mouthfeel. Caramel sweetness and mild bitterness in the flavour. Still lacking in flavour. Too short on roasted maltiness. 6,4,6,2,13. 15-03-2010:Very dark brown colour, thin head. Full malty flavour but not a stout which is packed full of flavour and body. Disappointingly thin and watery. 7,3,7,3,14

(bottle, 75cl) Dark brown colour with a beige medium-sized foamy head. Sweet and moderately roasted malty aroma with notes of dried berries and liquorice. Quite sweet flavour with notes of roasty bitterness, full bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. Roast-malty, subtle fruity base with notes of liquorice, chocolate and a whiff of ginger-spice; sweet and roasty bitter, slightly spicy finish. A tad sweet but quaffable Stout. 03.II.10

Bottle: Deep amber coloured, hazy, big lacy and rocky tanned head; sweetish-roasty nose with liquorice, wine and a medical touch; solid sweet-bitter flavour, soft MF, medium bodied, oily; sweet roasty, slightly sourish finish with a good dash of liquorice. Very sweet, but still good......

(Bottle, 0.33 l, at Maltainen Riekko) Poured pale golden and initially lightly hazy with quite large and white head. Aroma was fruitiy and contained some honey, too. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, honey, malts, hops, fruitiness, hint of grass, some citricness and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and bitter. An ordinary tripel. Nothing special.

330 ml bottle. Pale golden body with a volcanic white head all over the table. Aroma is mild malty and mild citric with a touch of spices. Flavor is sweet, mild malty, spicy and white sugar with the alcohol lurking in the background. A bit sticky body balancing off with a rather pronounced bitter finish. Feels like a Belgium blond or triple with extra hops.
