Bottle at Tight Restaurant, Copenhagen - amber pour with off-white head. Fruity and malty aroma and taste, some caramel malts, light fudge toffee, nutty, some twiggy hop bite, not bad.

(Bottle) Clear golden copper with thin loose head. Mixed aroma with some nice citrus hop notes, but also some metallic and wet dog notes. Light body with good carbonation. Nice refreshing taste uses the hops all the way through from good citrus notes at the start evolving into decent bitterness in the fairly long finish. This is overlaid on a pleasant, albeit quite understated maltiness. Overall a very nice easy drinking beer with a good hop / malt balance.

Not bad for an Aussie pilsener but I have to rate it behind Mildura. Didn’t quite get that saaz hit. Nice crisp pilsener finish though.

Bottle. Copper with a cm of pale beige head. Aroma of pine, kumquat, caramel, some grapefruit and pepper. Carbonation pleasantly moderate - ie low for a macro. Very sweet with loads of caramel. Fruit and pine really struggle to cut through and only pepper really adorns the bitterness at the end. OK, hops doing pretty well considering I caught this later than ideal. [edit] A few more grew on me a bit.

Bottle bought in Brisbane 2014. Golden with a white head. Weak and rather boring with light hops, some citrus, bread and some hay. Light bitterness in the finish.

Bottle. Clean amber with a thin head. Aroma is sweet caramel. Flavour is sticky nut, malty with a taste of booze. Plum finish.

From a 345ml bottle on 5/7/2014. Pours a clear deep golden, not far off amber, with a small head. Has a quite pleasant floral aroma with some fruity notes. Taste wise, it begins sweet and malty (caramel, biscuit), follows with some citrus fruit and finishes with a moderate dash of hops. Medium body and average carbonation. Pretty typical of a JS beer in that it’s decent but fails to excite. That said, this probably has a touch more to it than most in their regular range. All up, a pretty good APA, and miles better than their One Fifty Lashes.
