Description
In 1999 the brewery was established in the ''Commanderie van St. Jan'' in Nijmegen. This 12th century monastery has since been our production location and also the place where beer has been drunk most for years. In Brouwerscafé De Hemel, the 12 taps are always filled with different brewes from Hemel. Beer production takes place in the cellars of the Commanderie.

Clear orange brown, short head. Caramel aroma, spicy in the way all the de Hemel brews are. Strong taste, caramel malty, alcoholic. Quite alcoholic palate, but not really unpleasant. Belly warming.

The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of caramel. The color is red and it has a fine though collapsing head. The flavor is sweet and malty with strong notes of caramel. A great beer, unfortunatly tasted late in a long session.
