75cl bottle at home. Very dark brown pour with a very tall, fine-grained tan head. Notes of roasted malts, anise seed, licorice, roasted malts, bitter chocolate, light coffee, light bitter fruit. Full body, medium carbonation and a roasty, chocolatey finish. Pours lightly hazy golden orange/amber color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big lemon, orange, peach, pear, apple, melon, white grape, peppercorn, coriander, clove, banana, light bubblegum, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, bready malt, and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big lemon, orange, peach, pear, apple, melon, white grape, peppercorn, coriander, clove, banana, light bubblegum, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Moderate yeast spiciness and light herbal/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, orange, peach, pear, apple, melon, white grape, peppercorn, coriander, clove, banana, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, bready malt, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/spiciness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness from carbonation/spiciness as well. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/grainy/bready, and fairly crisp/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6.5%. Overall this is a great Belgian pale ale! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, bready malt, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, and pretty refreshing to drink. Really spot on for the style. A very enjoyable offering.

Taste of big raisin, plum, cherry, fig, date, apple, pepper, ginger, coriander, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, toasted biscuit, light roast, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate herbal bitterness and yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of raisin, plum, cherry, fig, date, apple, pepper, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, biscuit, and yeast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, spices, and dark/bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light dryness from bitter/spiciness, lightly increasing through the glass. Medium-high carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready, and lightly silky/sticky/chalky balanced mouthfeel that is awesome. Alcohol is a very well hidden with only a mild warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is an incredible Belgian strong dark ale! All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, spices, and dark/bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV. A really amazing offering.
