Can (2/23/21) pour from trade with Johnnnniee by way of The Packie--thanks, John! It's an opaque dark yellow with tons of sparkle at the edges of the glass, yeast chunks at the bottom of the glass with a few white floaties, finger-width foamy white head with good retention and fair soapy lacing. Aroma is strong apricot, tropical fruit, stone fruit, fruit salad. Taste is strong, sweet, nondescript fruit (Simcoe), tropical fruit, mild citrus, hint of alcohol astringency and grainy malt backbone. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth, thick texture, soft-to-average carbonation, mild alcohol warmth and dry finish with lingering yeast and mild bitterness. Overall, aroma is quite nice but, unfortunately, the Simcoe dominates the hop lineup for flavor, any other of which would have been more interesting. Raises expectations it then fails to meet.

1/25/21, Damn fluffy mango citrus, awfully creamy for no lactose, real easy drinking. Wish I had it fresher but that's mostly on me!

Can (1/5/21) pour from trade with Johnnnniee--thanks, John! It's an opaque black (dark brown, and some yeasty detritus, at the bottom of the glass) with slight reddish hue, lots of large nasty white floaties (almost looks like jam), no sparkle, thin cap of crackling, fizzy light brown head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is delightful sweet roasted malt, lactose, chocolate and hint of cherry. Taste is decadent, rich chocolate, lactose, roasted malt with lighter nuts and cherry. Mouthfeel is medium-to-full bodied with thick, creamy texture, average-to-lively carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, a pretty horrific look and a bit over carbonated but very nice aroma and flavor. Don't look at it and let it sit for a bit and you should be all set!

Can from the Packie, Hazy lemon yellow with a small bubbly white head that dissipates quickly. Lemony orange citrus pith and earthy resin with some light bready maltiness to counter. Light alcohol warmth. Pretty nice brew.

Can from the packie. Pours a lightly hazy dark lemon yellow with a fluffy white head that slowly recedes. Earthy orange and tropical notes with a solid shot of resinous pine. Light biscuit maltiness. Very nice brew.
