Description
Font Salem is a Spanish company that markets its products both in Spain and in neighboring Portugal. Their strength is making beer, soft drinks and water for third parties. Their industry experience is over 25 years, as they have earned the trust of the major companies they work with (Mercadona, El Corte Inglés, Lidl, Eroski etc.). Grupo Damm acquired the company in several steps since 1999.
The company has three plants, two in Valencia and one in Portugal. The one in El Puig de Santa María, in Valencia, is dedicated to brewing beer, the second, in Salem, Valencia, makes soft drinks. The Santarém factory in Portugal produces both beer and soft drinks.
Acquired in 2023 by COCEDA (Damm)

Can at campsite in northern Spain. Eclipse day. A clear dull gold coloured pour with a fading fizz. Aroma is stewed grass, hops, stale grains, corn. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, corny grains, stewed veg. Palate is semi sweet, moderate fizz. Meh. Pretty bad.

Dorada, limpia, con dedos y medio de espumita. Olor mineral. En boca es casi como beber un agua mineral con gas, postgusto metálico, ligerita y refrescante.

Clear, golden colour, moderate white head. Sweetish malt aroma, a hint of wet cardboard, reminiscent of lemon dish soap from the can. Fairly light body, low carbonation and bitterness. Rather hollow, slightly corny with lemon accents. Drinkable.
