Can, at Jæren Ølfestival. An unclear orangey brown beer with a minimalistic off-white head. The aroma is roasted, sweet and nutty, with dark dried fruit. It’s full-bodied and lightly warming, with a little sweetness. Nutty, caramel-ish and roasted flavor with some dried fruit and a touch of alcohol. Lasting sweet, malty finish. Quite pleasant this one, but not very Christmasy in my book. 220813

Can, at Jæren Ølfestival pre-tasting. A small, dense off-white head forms over a hazy orange colored body. Orange marmalade, pine cone hints, grass and some pale malts. Hints of bread and a vague diacetyl hint. Mint, perfume and flowers. It’s medium to full bodied, softly carbonated and with a decent bitterness. Orange marmalade, notes of pine cones, perfume and bready pale malts. Long fruity finish. Quite nice, old-school and pleasant. 220812

Can, at Jæren Ølfestival pre-tasting. It’s a hazy one, pale golden in color, with a finger-thick white head. The aroma is fruity, citrusy and lightly grassy, with some pale malts in the far back. Some peppery notes, pine cones and citrus zest. It’s medium to full bodied, softly carbonated and semi-dry, with a soft bitterness. Citrus, pine cone hints, peppery notes and some grass and pale malts. Some pale malts hints. Long fruity flavor. A very pleasant one, easy drinkable and quenching, as well as suited for lots of food. 220812

Shared cans at Bryne tasting. Brown colour, no head. Aroma of malts, caramel, molasses and brown bread, not very good. Flavour with the same elements as the aroma, too sweet and unbalanced.
