Description
Font Salem is a Spanish company that markets its products both in Spain and in neighboring Portugal. Their strength is making beer, soft drinks and water for third parties. Their industry experience is over 25 years, as they have earned the trust of the major companies they work with (Mercadona, El Corte Inglés, Lidl, Eroski etc.). Grupo Damm acquired the company in several steps since 1999.

The company has three plants, two in Valencia and one in Portugal. The one in El Puig de Santa María, in Valencia, is dedicated to brewing beer, the second, in Salem, Valencia, makes soft drinks. The Santarém factory in Portugal produces both beer and soft drinks.

Can, 15 months before bbd. Pours clear yellow, with creamy head. Aroma is pale malts, with some slight whiffs of toffee, and barely noticeable hops in the back. Medium body, with average carbonation. Flavour is rather sour, with some hay and minerals. There’s bound to be other macro lagers in any outlet selling this. Buy one of those instead...

Can 33cl from local supermarket, Bonpreu @Llagostera. Straight from the can at the beach at Platja d’Aro. Probably golden with a white head, malty aroma and taste, some sugar, well actually it isn’t that bad at all. --- Beer merged from original tick of Cervesa Pilsen Bonpreu on 25 May 2018 at 10:49 - Score: 5

Can from a Kuala Lumpur pop-up beer shop. Poured a clear straw colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is sweet malt, light woody hop. The flavour is moderate sweet light bitter with a light sweet malty, light fruit, hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation. Tastes like a malt liquor without the alcohol.
