330ml can bought at Gulating in Bodø. Pours a huge white head leaving spotty lacing on the glass. Cloudy golden body. Moderate smell of herbal hops and pale malts, hints of spiced. Malt-fruity flavours added by spices and a note of spruce towards the ending. Soft on the swallow. Okay pilsener. (Tromsø 03.11.2019).

Can at a tasting. Assertive pineapple, gummybears, lots of bitterness, harsh, earthy/grassy. Finishes with a bit of acidity/tartness, zesty. High carbonation, moderate body. Overhopped, but not in a good way. Average.

Can at tasting, thanks Cuso. Malty and hoppy aroma, pineapple, tropical fruit notes, candies, light spur notes, light bitter. Light to medium body, hoppy fruity bitter finish. Ok.

Can. Just natural to compare this with the Framgarden as I had just before this one. Many similarities and something different. Unclear dark golden orange body with a nice, moderate sized but dense off-white head. Quite strong in the nose, malt, grain, juniper, pine, dry plum, honey, herbs, bread and kveik. Flavor is rather sweet and feels a bit heavy on the malty side, perhaps caused by the lack of bitter hops, it still feels a bit bitter, like wooden bitter and perhaps bitter berries and herbs. It’s very sweet and very complex, lots of new flavors to be discovered while drinking through the can. The dry fruit like plum and marmalade is different from the Framgarden and there is less obvious citric fruit here. I also think the honey flavor is more distinct here. The herbs, spices and juniper berries is almost the same, but there seems to be some more flavors of juniper twigs as well. This feels a bit rougher and sharp edged than Framgarden but when I first have decided to go for an authentic kveik experience I believe I would go for this one anyway. It’s sure an interesting and complex beer, still a bit unsure of how much I really like it besides the ‘interesting’ part. It’s definitively the real stuff and so far away from the hoppy/kveik light types of beer that’s for sure more easy drinkable.

Might be a combination from sweet malt end slightly banana flavored esters from the yeast. Something fruity is a bit hidden, a bit like zesty kind of citric fruit. It’s also definitively some herbs and spices here as well but not possible to identify exactly for me. Full bodied with a sweet, complex and alcoholic aftertaste. The kveik flavor goes all the way from the aroma to the aftertaste. It’s sure an interesting and complex beer, still a bit unsure of how much I really like it besides the ‘interesting’ part.
