Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 18/8/2015. Golden in colour, with a slight, white, head. Light, tropical fruit and leafy hop aroma. Flavour was also fruity, with some creamy malts leading to a dryish finish. Good.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 18/8/2015. Near black in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. Sweetish and rich, with some chocolate truffles, dark fruits, roasted, almost charred malts, and a warming finish. Very good.

Cask at gbbf 2015 day 4. Clear golden coloured pour with a steadfast frothy odd white head. Aroma is fruity berry, medium sweet grains, toffee, candied orange. Flavour is composed of sweet caramel, berry, English hop, orange and grass. Palate is sweet, lowish carbonation, OK cask IPA.

Gravity cask at the Bishop’s Stortford Beer Festival 2015, Royal British Legion. Dark brown and opaque with a pleasant tan head. Chocolate and coffee aroma with a hint of smoke, but not so much as to call this a smoked beer, just a porter with smoky elements. Lovely sweet malty taste with added bitter/umami intensity from the smoked element. As usual with Grain, a winner.

Chelmsford Beer Festival. Cask. Almost clear gold beer, bubbly pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry with decent fine carbonation. Clean pale malts. Mild floral bitterness. Lemony citrus, sweetish bubblegum ester. Mild orange marmalade. Dry finish. Pretty drinkable.

Cask at the Cock Inn, Attleborough. Light brown, almost tawny. Cedar, underripe berries, a bit of astringency in the nose. Taste is malt led but with a good dollop of sour bitterness. Long grainy finish. Just the right hit of astringency. Special.

Cask @ The Sportsman, Huddersfield. Sportsman Bizarre Beer Festival. Cloudy dishwater yellow with a very thin head. Has a good witbier nose, with a lesser stated taste, but still within its style.
