Nice light amber bubbly-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry boozy, oak, salty licorice, bark, alcohol, grass, minerals, toast, tar, weeds, soil, dark malts, dark sugar. Taste is slightly sweet boozy, dark sugar, dark malts, dusty licorice, bark, alcohol, toast, fruit stones, soil, grass, dried dark fruits, minerals, old rope. Medium to longlasting bitterness, dry boozy mouthfeel. Not really my cup of coffee.

On tap at Ølfestivalen, Nærbø. Nitro pour. A black beer topped by a nice dark beige head leaving lacing. Coffee grit and lots of coffee in the aroma, and also in the flavor. It's dry on the palate, full-bodied, and with a nice bitterness. Burnt, almost bonfire-ish finish with lots of coffee. A pleasant one indeed, although very one dimensional. 171021

Draught at Håndslag, shared with Finn. Fair off-white head, spotty lacing, clear copper coloured body. Moderate smell of dough and mild citrus. lightly spiced. Malt-fruity flavours, some spices, biscuit, and ripe fruits. Mid-sweet malt fruity finish. Medium bodied. Fair enough. (Oslo 03.12.2018).

Can. More or less black in the glass, with just a few beige bubbles as a head. Quite oily. The aroma has lots of gingerbread and cloves, with coffee, some dark chocolate, roasted malts and clementine zest. There's cinnamon in the beer as well, quite subdued in the aroma, but in the flavor it's very much present, along with ginger, cloves, coffee, roasted malts and clementine, and a touch of licorice. Some bitterness, especially toward the finish, and quite a lot of sweetness. It has a decent carbonation, still it feels quite hard, and in a strange way it feels sort of thin on the palate, and a bit edgy. Alcohol warmth is present too of course. Long bitter, warming finish with spices, clementine, dark malts, sweetness and some licorice. Sort of interesting this one, but too edgy and lacking balance. 181130
