Bottle from Beerdome. Black with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate, lots of bourbon and moderate hoppy - pine. Flavor is quite sweet and rather hitter. Dry and rather bitter finish with lots of warming alcohol. Oily. A bit rough. 240521

Pours jet black with virtually no head. Aroma's: peat, but subtle, roast, umami, alcohol. Retronasal there's peat, rye bread, roast, coffee, molasses, a little red fruit. Flavour is light moderate sweet, with roasty bitterness. Medium bodied. Fairly strong alcohol feel, warming. Long finish with roast and ash, above moderate bitter. Top notch.
