Description

Tap at Maxs. Unfiltered orange-yellow. Respectable white head. Yeasty lager with a lemony edge. Delicate and doughy. Hyper Euro, sessionable, delicate. Bready, mellow subdued hops. A rare treat, very authentic.

Bottle at home from Waitrose. Semi cloudy orange grey colour with a thick short lived white head. Nose is clove with hint of orange. Flavour is oats and bready. Somewhat flabby palate. Decent, but nothing to write home about.

On tap at Reilly’s Taphouse in Seoul. It had a nice fig, plum, sweet fruity odor but the taste was a bit grainy with hay notes & a sweet caramel malt finish.

Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass zippy, fine turbid. Starts malty-yeasty, not too dry. Fine fruity notes of peach and lemon. Modest sourish. Quite drinkable. Nice one!

Bottle at home in London, procured from Waitrose in Bath. Pours lightly cloudy, matte gold with a good, sturdy white foam head. Aroma holds some semi-ripe banana, crisp orange citrus, some wheaty dough. Light to medium sweet flavor with a pleasant, rounded fruit character, mellow esters, moderate wheat, faint hay and cereal. Light bodied with average carbonation. Crisp, very clean finish, not overly sweet like some hefes, but not overly deep in character either. Restrained wheat, yeast, white bread, light lemon zip and banana, low bitterness. Very easy drinking hefeweizen.

Bottle from Aldi Gorgie
Light yellow golden, clear, bubbly white head, some lacing
Aroma - light lager hops, light spicy hops, touch of cereals
Taste - Soft pale sweet malts, light spicy hop, soft cereals, some plae sweet caramel
Palate - Medium body, medium carb, oily slick texture. Smooth oily fairly sweet finish.
Overall - Not a fan of lagers but I would drink this, reasonable with a surprising viscous texture

Bottle from the München Hauptbahnhof Yorma’s, tasted on the train. Clear yellow-golden body with a small white head. Fresh malty nose, slightly unwelcome presence of apples, light vegetables too. Hmm. The maltiness and the mouthfeel in general are quite nice, enveloping the persistent apple notes, vague pine too. Hmm, more interesting than it should be.
