Cloudy amber out of the bottle. No obvious carbonation. Nose is clean, fresh, honey-sweet. Nice and drinkable. The finish is surprisingly similar to some traditional English Ales. Dangerously quaffable at 12.5%

Into a tall flute glass. Night of spectacular lunar eclipse. Pours a very pale yellow with some haze and many many tiny bubbles. Small head disappears completely. Nose is oak and honey, a touch floral too. Sticky, full body but flat in the mouth. There's wood and flowers, fruit and honey. Drying but still sweet alcoholic finish. I've only had a few meads but they are so interesting. This is like wine for outdoor nights below freezing. Beautiful and warming.

750ml bottle into wine glass. Pours a translucent lemon, high fine carbonation. nose is yeasty, woody, honey. Slight effervescence. viscous with obvious alcohol notes then a little grassy bitterness followed by warming honey. This would be great to drink late on a cold New England night. Next to a fire.

750ml bottle from Oak Barrel, Sydney. Slightly hazy yellow colour, thin white foam head that dissipates away and aroma of honey, fruity, woody, funk. Taste is honey, mellow, fruity, vanilla, biscuit and white wine notes. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, semi-dry boozy finish. Quite drinkable.
