Bottle on board Fridtjofen 02.04.16. Clear pale straw colour. White head and lacing. Aroma and taste of grass, maize, cane sugar, boiled vegetables and pale malt. Quite sweet. A less than mediocre Eurolager.

Typical wit notes. Phenolic. Banana and clove. Coriander. Really benchmark. Reminds me of Hoegarden before they ruined it.

(notes 2005-2006)

Can from Prince International Supermarket, Ashford. Clear pale gold lasting thin white head. Tasty enough heller bock. Aroma isn’t too good, but the flavour is fine. Some light lemon. Light in mouth and hides ABV well. Got a good beer buzz from it. It’s fine. Time for some chinese food I feel. Rather liked this beer though. Some hop on the finish.

Bottle from Prince International Supermarket, Ashford. Clear orange brown amber colour lasting off white head. Malty aroma. Brown, dry aroma. I’d argue that this is a Scottish Ale. For so many reasons. Is this made with an ale yeast? Or is it just a malty lager? There is some hop on the finish. I mean it’s a malty slightly sweet, syrupy beer with some malty fruit that is attractive, but a bit too one dimensional and doesnt’ go anywhere. If it’s anything, it’s a bitter if made with an ale yeast. If made with a lager yeast, hmmm, then what should it be. Too weak to be a Mocne. But that’s the closest thing. Oh well it is what it is, and it’s an ok bitter.
