Can from Gulating. Unclear pale-yellow body under a lacing white head. Aroma of grain, mild fruit, grass and hint of yeast. Taste is light and refreshing, mild, smooth malt, some grassy hops, hint of fruit. Medium body and same aftertaste. It’s a decent lager, pretty balanced and within its style. Refreshing with no sharp edges, exactly as it’s meant to be probably.

330ml can bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Fast declining beige head leaving scattered lacing on the glass. Coffee on the nose, hints of cocoa. Coffee beans to the forefront of the taste character, hints of cocoa and nuts. The aftertaste is also dominated by coffee, lightly roasted. Slightly diluted on the swallow. Satisfying. 330ml can bought at Vinmonopolet City Nord in Bodø. Fawn-coloured head to a coal black body, spotty lacing. Chocolate malts on the nose, lightly smoked. Malt-driven taste, moments of grainy chocolate, liquorice and some spices. Rounded roasted ending, mid-sweet. Fine bodied. Pleasing. (Tromsø 23.01.2021).

330ml can bought at Vinmonopolet City Nord in Bodø, shared with Finn back home. The noisy pour reveals a fast declining white head, poor lacing, and a hazy amber body. Vague smell of berry skins. Moderate taste of cloudberries, mid-tart, offset by lactose sweetness. Sweet, dry and tart ending. Okay cleanser. (Tromsø 23.01.2021).

Can. It's a dark brown to black beer with a minimal sized beige head. The aroma is on the roasted, almost burnt side, with lactose, vanilla and some licorice. It's rather thin on the palate, low on carbonation too. Roasted malts, charcoal, lactose and a touch of vanilla in the flavor. Some licorice kicking in toward the finish. A dull beer indeed, failing to lead my thoughts to Christmas as well. 210116
