Description

Bottle. Pale blonde, pours a huge head. Lemon and vinegar in the aroma and flavor. Hints of grassy hops. Probably unintended sourness, infected?

Bottle. Murky brown color. Apple, vinegar and dusty notes in the aroma. Sour flavor. Apple sourness, caramel. Vinegar. Alcohol. Weird beer, the sourness is probably unintended, but does work to lift this beer from undrinkable to "dirty, but drinkable".

For some reason i had both a tick and a rating here, and with the new ratebeer setup for ticks (est. '18) I seem to have lost the rating. Pitty. Warrants a re-rate.

Shared from bottle at deanso’s. Vintage 2008. Clear reddish amber wkth no head. Caramel, sweet raisans, barley, some gumball coating. Big sweet, light leathery bitter. Quite alcoholic. Medium body, slick thin watery oily feel. Really nice, aging probably helped with that. --- Beer merged from original tick of Koelschip Bierexplosie on 23 Dec 2017 at 13:30 - Score: 7. Bottle 2008 vintage thanks to deanso. Clear light brown with very short lasting bubbles, no real head. Lots of sweet malts, figs, raisins, caramel, brown sugar, light toffee. There’s some itter alcohol and bitter leaves in the finish. Over medium bodied with soft alcoholic burn. Judging by the ratings this really improved by some aging. It’s actually quite nice now.
