Sample (thanks omhper!). Golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is floral, fruity, some honey and mild toffee tones with some spicy tones. Flavour is fruity, floral, some fruity and mild toffeeish tones. Smooth brew, with a nice kind of dry bitterness kicking in too. Old school. Actually some almost diacetlic elements as it warms up, and actually not in a bad way here.

(Bottle) Reddish brown colour with brief, foamy, beige head. Malty, vinous nose with caramel, toasty malt, oak wood, dark bread, dried fruit, prunes and raisins. Malty, fruity, vinous taste with notes of caramel, dried fruit, prunes, raisins, figs, oak wood, burnt sugar and a vinous and warming finish with a balanced spicy bitterness. Full body, quite sweet. Rich, tasty and well balanced barley wine. Very nice.
