bottle. clear brown, very smooth offwhite head. caramelly, sweet malty, a bit stale hops, also some faint sweet flowery notes. Flavor is malty, quite spicy (licorice, cinnamon perhaps), bitter, chocolate, something that reminds me of barley wine and stale hops. Sort of oxidzed, but probably not oxidzed. The beer tastes quite strange, sort of similar to spiced brown cookies, except not so sweet. Strange but tasty.

33 cl bottle. Bright yellow with medium sized, foamy, white head. Aroma is fruity hops, grass, malts and some sourness . Taste is lightly bitter and a little sour. Easy drinking, but nothing interesting. Mouthfeel is a bit watery with a light body and a bit of carbonation.

bottle. clear dark yellow, small smooth head. faint flowery,faint citrussy, faint malty sweet aroma. nice dry flavor, a sweet spicy note, flowery notes, exotic fruits, ends slightly hoppy bitter. The beer has lots of taste even though it is only 3.5%

Bottle (Stockholm Beer Festival 2010) - Dark brown with red tinges and a tan head. Fruity aroma with raisins, spicy malt and hops. Roasted taste with roasted malt and a hint of chocolate.

(Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival, 1 Oct 2010) Golden colour with huge, off-white head. Fruity, herbal nose with fresh notes of sweet gale and rosemary. Fruity, herbal taste with citrus and sweet gale. Medium body, quite sweet with a gentle bitterness. A bit one dimensional but fresh and quite nice.

On tap at SBWF 2010. "Julnarren" Amber with a small white head. Caramel, grass, chocolate, dark fruits. Quite good.

On tap at SBWF. Golden with a small white head. Very special and fresh aroma of spices. I was thinking about Christmas when drinking the beer. Its not every day that you drink a beer flavored with Sweet Gale.
