17/01/2020. Cask at the 11th Elysian Winter Beer Festival. Pours clear bright pale gold with a bubbly white head. Light aroma of hops, straw, citrus and subtle lychee. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Moderate body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Didn't seem much to this to start with but was a grower.

Cask at the Ship & Mitre, 23/03/19. Golden copper with a decent off white head. Nose is biscuit malts, orange peel, toasted grains, caramel. Taste is malt forward, orange, airy malts, grass, light spice, caramel, biscuit. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with moderate bitterness. Decent cask amber.

Cask at the Ship & Mitre, as 'Flagship Sublime', 23/03/19. Clear golden pour with a well presented white cap. Nose is melon, lemon rind, tangerine, straw. Taste comprises grass, airy malts, melon, orange peel, light breads. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Passable session gear.

Cask at the Ship & Mitre, Liverpool, 23/03/19. Light black with a decent tan covering … good lacing and head retention ensues. Nose is cocoa powder, light roasted notes, dried fruits, toffee. Taste comprises fruit cake, chocolate, liquorice, light spice, mellow roast. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Decent cask porter.

20/2/2019. Cask at the 20th Chelmsford Winter Beer and Cider Festival. Pours clear dark brown with a bubbly lasting light beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, liquorice and ash. Moderate sweetness, medium roasted bitterness, very light tartness. Moderate body, watery oily texture, average to soft carbonation. Fruity roasted finish. Not bad but lacked body.

20/2/2019. Cask at the 20th Chelmsford Winter Beer and Cider Festival. Pours cloudy amber with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of hops, malt, orange, light tropical fruit, light pine and biscuit. Medium sweetness and bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, average to soft carbonation. Dry fruity finish. Decent brew.

Keg at Ship & Mitre. It pours darkest brown with a thick beige head. The aroma is coffee, roasted malt, earthy, cacao nibs and toasted nut. The taste is dry, bitter, earthy roast, toasted grain, coffee grounds and some pepper with a dry roast finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Not bad at all. Moreish.

Cask at Ship & Mitre. It pours clear dark nest brown with a thick light tan head. The aroma is soft, sweet roast, chocolate cake, milky, earthy, coffee grounds and some liquorice. The taste is dry, bitter, earthy roast, coffee grounds, slight ash, leather, berry skin, cocoa and toasted nut with a drying finish. Light to medium body and fine carbonation.. Well rounded and quaffable.
