Bottle shared with KH and IG on board Bia Baridi 21.08.20. Hazy pale straw colour. Aroma and taste of pilsner malt, lemon and lime peel, curacao oranges, sorrel and a hint of wheat. A bit waterish.

Can. A big foamy off-white head forms over a hazy golden body. The aroma is piney and grapefruity, with orange zest, a hint of grass, and some very light caramel-ish malts. It's full to medium bodied, perhaps a tad heavy on the carbonation, with a decent bitterness. The hops run the show in the mouth too, there's a light touch of bread and caramel from the malts, but pine cones, grapefruit and some orange are driving this. Fruity hops in the finish too. A sort of old school-ish APA, done in a very nice way. 200821

Bottle @ Håndverkeren. Pitch black body under a fine beige head that fades quite fast. Aroma has light roasted dark malt, lots of coconut and hint of chocolate. After just sniffing for a while the coconut dominates almost completely, but not in an unpleasant way and there seems to be something more to sense in the background that I really could not get defined. Taste is very sweet with dark, sooth malt, dry fruit, raisins, coconut, vanilla, just a hint of chocolate and warming alcohol somewhere between rum and fresh, non-oxidized Madeira. Full bodied and long aftertaste with most of the same flavor, but the sweetness and the coconut seem to fade after a while leaving more place for fruit and warming alcohol. A nice sipper, just a tad too sweet and too much coconut in the start, but it seems to settle about hallway down the bottle. But I would recommend to open this rather colder than usually for an Imp. Stout. Actually, nice for sharing as well.

Can. Sitting outside in the sun the body looks almost yellow/gray under a big white head. Aroma is citric fruity with pine and grass. Taste is light and easy, citric fruit, hint of grapefruit, quite much grass, almost hop pellets and a distinct hop burn. Medium body and relatively bitter aftertaste with fruit and grass. Refreshing and easy drinkable. I appreciate the level of bitterness and assume that the hop burn will disappear as this is a blood fresh sample.

Can. An orange colored beer with a small white head leaving lacing. Unclear. The aroma has lots of grapefruit and pine cones, with a touch of pale malts and grass. It's full-bodied and nicely carbonated, with a slight hop burn. Rather dry. The flavor has a decent bitterness, with some pale malts in the back. Grapefruit, pine cones and generic citrus dominates though. Lasting dry, bitter grapefruit finish. A pleasant one indeed, but perhaps a bit challenging to drink more than a couple of. 200613

Tap @ Patricks. Almost clear golden body with a nice, lacing white head. Aroma is mild and delicate with spicy yeast and a hint of citric fruit. Taste is super refreshing, smooth, light pale malt, general fruity, some oranges and slightly acidic. Medium body and refreshing aftertaste ending a bit zesty. Summer and sunshine in my glass.

On tap at Patricks. It's a lightly hazy golden colored beer with a small but nice white head. Some curtains. The aroma is typical saison, fruity, with spiced yeast notes and some grass. The orange is present too, but I can't really say I noticed the pepper, neither in aroma nor in flavor. There's a light bitterness going on, with a pleasant carbonation and a quite dry body. Orange, generic fruityness, spiced notes and some grassy flavors, and a light malty backdrop. Lasting fruity finish. A refreshing, quaffable and fruity beer. 200516

Can from the brewery. Slightly unclear golden body with a firm off-white head. Aroma is rather mellow with soft malt, almost discrete fruity hops and a floral touch. Taste is smooth and mostly in the middle of the road, closer to an American Pale Ale in my book. Smooth, light, but distinct malt, mild hoppy citric fruit, hint of pine and oranges with distinct bitterness. The label says 60 IBU but it feels much lower, probably has something to do with the balance. Everything seems to be in such balance that no single flavor stands out, relatively malty but not too sweet, fruity but no particular fruit, bitter but no sharp edges etc. The balance might actually be the problem in this case, it’s a fine and easy drinkable beer but totally forgotten the next minute. Nothing extraordinary going on and without doubt a fine match for most food but not so interesting alone.
