Bottled 330ml (Viking Line taxfree)
Dark chestnut brown color, small off-white head. Strong honey aroma with some maltyness. Light-bodied, crisp carbonation. Caramel, honey, clean mouthfeel. Drinkable, just right amount of honey here: enough to see taste it but not too overpowering.

Tap at Gallow’s Bird, Espoo. Originally rated 20160924. Colour is clear golden with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Grain, sweetness, honey and malts. Slightly better than normal bulk lager.

Bottle 0.33l at home, Vantaa. BBE xx.07.17. Colour is clear light orange with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Grain, dryness, paper, some grass and malts. Nothing special.

33cl bottle from Stockmann, Helsinki. Pours hazy golden with a fairly decent, white head. Yeasty, citrusy and moderate fruity aroma with wheat and hints of spices. Moderate sweet and rather acidic with mild wheaty and citrusy flavours. Fairly refreshing, not much banana, but surprisingly acidic. --- Beer merged from original tick of Hefeweizen (4.7%) on 23 Sep 2016 at 18:55 - Score: 6

A reddish yellow beer, a head is quite small and blond. Aroma has grain, dry and wet grass, some bread. Taste has grain, some sweet caramel, grass and bread. Quite light bodied, sparkling carbonation. Grain and grass, decent and unmemorable.

On tap at the Oak Barrel, Vantaa Airport, Helsinki. The reddish side of reddish brown. Clear with no head but quite a lot of carbonation. Smell is slightly woody and gluey, with some nice fruity notes hidden within. Very sweet with more sticky malt in the taste. Medium to long finish with a hint of more bitterness. It’s OK. Had many better Viennas in the past.

33cl bottle. Poured mahogany color with a thin white head. Rye bread, toast, woody notes in aroma. Flavor has bready malts, nutty, biscuity notes. Pleasant flavors. Long bready finish.

(5.5%) On tap at Viking’s Inn, Viking XPRS from Helsinki. Clear amber with a modest off-white head. Malty and slighty herbal aroma with caramel and fruity notes. 33cl bottle from Viking XPRS. Pours clear deep amber to copper coloured with a modest off-white head. Malty and caramelly with fruity notes, bitter herbs and hints of dried citrus peel. Medium sweet and rather malty with a medium bitter finish. Fair enough.
