Description
Anders Kissmeyer takes the concept of craft brewing very seriously, but at the same time he is also a curious and creative brewer who takes pride in driving the craft towards new heights and in new directions. Rooted in these passions, we will present new takes on well known beer types, along with brand new unique directions and styles.
Anders Kissmeyer is a much larger name in the rest of the world than he is in his own country. This will be reflected in a number of collaboration brews. Beers he brews in collaboration with his large network of friends among the best international brewmasters. To fully unfold our ambitions, we have chosen to present all of the KISSMEYER beers in a number of distinct portfolios, each with a conceptual idea of it’s own.

'Kissmeyer Beer and Brewing’ is my company, launched in 2010 after I ended my 10 year carreer with Nørrebro Bryghus. Longue description The company spans over three main areas of business - ’Kissmeyer Beer’ is my beer brand offering my own and collaborative beers at home and abroad. ’Kissmeyer Brewing’ is my consultancy business offering services related mainly to the brewing industry. Finally, under the collective name ’Kissmeyer Beer & Brewing’ I offer a wide range of communication services incl. beer tastings and presentations

A couple of pints on tap at Christian Firtal on the first day when it was warm enough to drink outdoors after dark. It’s a hazy golden beer with a firm and lasting white head. Lovely complex aroma with elements of spice, herbs, grapefruit, lime and flowers. Dry, classic saison flavour with especially herbal and floral notes.
The first great Danish saison that isn’t a one-off. May it have a long and successful life!

(Draught at Hilpeä Hauki, Helsinki, 20110401) The beer poured amber and a little bit cloudy. Its head was quite large and white. Aroma had berries, hops and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were hops, toffee, berries, malts, mildly sourness and medium bitterness. Aftertaste was bitter and malty. Not a good one. The berriness and sourness weren’t fitting for this beer.

tap at mikkeller bar.cloudy orange, smooth large creamy offwhite head. Fresh slightly flowery hops. Very slightly fruity, refreshing. Flavor is mild hoppy fresh, slightly bitter, only slightly malty, but malts do play the role of a well balanced base to the delicate hoppiness. Good mild refreshing ipa.

On tap @ Cardinal. Black body with a small, dense beige head. Aroma of hard roasted malt, liquorices and fruit. Flavor is moderate sweet, hard roasted malt, smoke and bacon. Feels soft and fruity, quite easy to drink and still pretty solid body. Wel balanced bitterness. Alcohol is well hidden. A very pleasant smoked beer.

On tap. Pours black with a beautiful ruby red glow and a creamy cappuchino-like head. Plenty of licorice in the nose, sweet Finnish licorice and some hard roast. There’s a slightly salty touch also but not a lot of honey. Some malt astringency with a slight tartness. 120311

First batch, on tap at Christian Firtal. Cloudy orange with a big and lasting white head. Aroma of orange, grapefruit, ripe tropical fruits and to a lesser degree, some pine and grass. Dry and very bitter flavour with a hint of biscuit maltiness far in the background. Fruity hop flavours. The bitterness gets a little raw, tobacco like (supposed to be fixed in following batches). October 2012: Definitely more subdued bitterness and more malt forward flavour
