Description
Anders Kissmeyer takes the concept of craft brewing very seriously, but at the same time he is also a curious and creative brewer who takes pride in driving the craft towards new heights and in new directions. Rooted in these passions, we will present new takes on well known beer types, along with brand new unique directions and styles.
Anders Kissmeyer is a much larger name in the rest of the world than he is in his own country. This will be reflected in a number of collaboration brews. Beers he brews in collaboration with his large network of friends among the best international brewmasters. To fully unfold our ambitions, we have chosen to present all of the KISSMEYER beers in a number of distinct portfolios, each with a conceptual idea of it’s own.

'Kissmeyer Beer and Brewing’ is my company, launched in 2010 after I ended my 10 year carreer with Nørrebro Bryghus. Longue description The company spans over three main areas of business - ’Kissmeyer Beer’ is my beer brand offering my own and collaborative beers at home and abroad. ’Kissmeyer Brewing’ is my consultancy business offering services related mainly to the brewing industry. Finally, under the collective name ’Kissmeyer Beer & Brewing’ I offer a wide range of communication services incl. beer tastings and presentations

Rather light aroma is a bit suprising: lots of wheat and some fruity hops. Flavour has lots of grapefruit-like hops and some wheat. Gets more sweet when warms up. Slightly weird, but good, hoppy and refreshing pale ale.

Sweet and suprisingly light aroma has ripe, exotic fruits. Flavour has also some ripe fruits too. Almost too sweet, but does not go over my limit. Too berryish though.

Draught at Bishops Arms Järntorget, Göteborg, on July 15, 2011Clear copper color, off-white head. Malty, sweet, floral, fruity, berry, caramel taste. Lingering bitter aftertaste. Medium to smooth mouthfeel. High lasting bitterness. Sweet, fruity, hoppy scent. Nice to sip on, but too strong and bitter to have more than a small serving.

(Draught at Pikkulintu, 20110712) The beer poured amber and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had hops, malts, sweetness and sea water. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were hops, malts, saltiness, mildly molasses, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was salty and bitter. Nice spicy flavoured double IPA.

Draught, KØ11. Citric aroma. Hazy dark yellow colour. Small stable white head. The flavour is like a Belgian wit, citric and slightly spicy with a dry lemon finish.

Draught, KØ11. Mild roasted bready aroma. Black colour. Small light brown head. The flavour is like the aroma, roasted and bready. Good mouthfeel, slightly rough carbonation. 7 3 7 3 14

Bottle, 6.5%. Honey aroma, dark sweet malts, sweet liquorice aroma. Black colour, seems hazy. Small stable light brown head. The flavour is bready and floral, has a nicely toasted malt note, not burnt. Quite vinous finish and very late chocolate aftertaste. 7 3 7 3 16

Draught, KØ11. Mildly hoppy aroma. Clear shiny copper colour. Small white head. The flavour is slightly caramelly with a bit of piney hop. Not as sweet as many other DIPAs. 6 3 6 3 13

Bottle, 9.5%. Good caramelly aroma with a hint of vanilla or perhaps coconut. Cloudy dark orange colour. Good creamy stable white head. The flavour starts off peppery and turns a little maltier with a little more coconut. The flavour does not quite live up to my expectations after smelling the aroma. 7 3 7 3 16

On tap at Craft Beer. Very hazy amber beer, little white head. Softish light palate, semi dry. Nice soft fruity hops - orange, peach, mango and guava. Finishes soft. A rather splendid beer that seduces with decent soft fruity flavours.
