Description
Anders Kissmeyer takes the concept of craft brewing very seriously, but at the same time he is also a curious and creative brewer who takes pride in driving the craft towards new heights and in new directions. Rooted in these passions, we will present new takes on well known beer types, along with brand new unique directions and styles.
Anders Kissmeyer is a much larger name in the rest of the world than he is in his own country. This will be reflected in a number of collaboration brews. Beers he brews in collaboration with his large network of friends among the best international brewmasters. To fully unfold our ambitions, we have chosen to present all of the KISSMEYER beers in a number of distinct portfolios, each with a conceptual idea of it’s own.

'Kissmeyer Beer and Brewing’ is my company, launched in 2010 after I ended my 10 year carreer with Nørrebro Bryghus. Longue description The company spans over three main areas of business - ’Kissmeyer Beer’ is my beer brand offering my own and collaborative beers at home and abroad. ’Kissmeyer Brewing’ is my consultancy business offering services related mainly to the brewing industry. Finally, under the collective name ’Kissmeyer Beer & Brewing’ I offer a wide range of communication services incl. beer tastings and presentations

Bottle. A big, dense, beige head forms over a more or less clear, dark reddish brown body. Roasted malts, coffee and chocolate. Not much honey detected. Quite dry on the palate, medium bodied. The flavor has the same chocolate, coffee and roasted malts found in the aroma. Dry, roasted finish with chocolate and some faint notes of honey. A quite pleasant and easy drinkable. 111112

Tap @ Beer Temple. Golden color, slightly hazy. White head, quickly receding. Aroma: strong brett notes at first, fading a bit later, sour fruit, sweet. Flavor moderately sweet & bitter with a sour note. Fairly full bodied. Finishes bretty & bitter. The brett notes put me off a bit.

Cask Pub & Kitchen, post RBESG tasting. Light haze on this amber beer. Little white head. Light crisp palate. Pretty smooth pale malt, creamy. Well balanced orange hops. Lacto sweetness. Minerals. Crisp finish. Decent and managed to hold it’s own after the hop blizzard that was Magic Rocks Human Cannonball!

Draught at Olympen, happy eating and drinking with my nephews. Opaque, near-black body, tiny beige head to the rim of the glass. Prominent aroma of peaty malts, ashy dry. Chocolate malts underscored by a peaty backbone. Dry rounded on the swallow. Harmonious and far from heavy to drink (Oslo, 26.09.2011).

Draught at Bishops arms Linnégatan. Both rather heavy but still very drinkable. Taste of the pear popsicle Piggelin, citrusy fruitsallad and a hint of soap.
