Description
Anders Kissmeyer takes the concept of craft brewing very seriously, but at the same time he is also a curious and creative brewer who takes pride in driving the craft towards new heights and in new directions. Rooted in these passions, we will present new takes on well known beer types, along with brand new unique directions and styles.
Anders Kissmeyer is a much larger name in the rest of the world than he is in his own country. This will be reflected in a number of collaboration brews. Beers he brews in collaboration with his large network of friends among the best international brewmasters. To fully unfold our ambitions, we have chosen to present all of the KISSMEYER beers in a number of distinct portfolios, each with a conceptual idea of it’s own.

'Kissmeyer Beer and Brewing’ is my company, launched in 2010 after I ended my 10 year carreer with Nørrebro Bryghus. Longue description The company spans over three main areas of business - ’Kissmeyer Beer’ is my beer brand offering my own and collaborative beers at home and abroad. ’Kissmeyer Brewing’ is my consultancy business offering services related mainly to the brewing industry. Finally, under the collective name ’Kissmeyer Beer & Brewing’ I offer a wide range of communication services incl. beer tastings and presentations

Bottle, 7.0%. Citric and caramelly hop aroma. Seemingly clear red colour. Good stable white head. Sweet red ale. And not too bad at that.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of saxo. Pours an almost clear warm amber with a neat and dense off-white head. Caramel dominate the nose blending in with some not not overly aromatic hops. Medium body, burned caramel and toffee with subtle yet aromatic hops. Doesn’t really come through hop wise, but pleasant and inoffensive. 180212

Bottle. It pours a clear, dark golden to amber body under a dense, finger-thick beige head leaving lacings. The aroma is hop dominated, with some fluor, pine cones and citrus peel. Pleasant maltyness. The flavor is pretty similar, the hops dominating, with the caramel maltyness underneath. Balanced bitterness all the way. Full-bodied and maybe a bit heavy on the carbonation. Anyway, a quite pleasant and tasteful beer. 120218

500ml bottle. Cloudy dark golden to amber colour with medium frothy lacing white head. Distinct but moderate hop aroma. Taste is more "powerful", dry and bitter hop, herbal, metallic. Definitely not easy to drink. The hop notes are not on the flattering range of the tongue’s spectrum, but rather strenuous. Nevertheless worth the fray.
