Description
Anders Kissmeyer takes the concept of craft brewing very seriously, but at the same time he is also a curious and creative brewer who takes pride in driving the craft towards new heights and in new directions. Rooted in these passions, we will present new takes on well known beer types, along with brand new unique directions and styles.
Anders Kissmeyer is a much larger name in the rest of the world than he is in his own country. This will be reflected in a number of collaboration brews. Beers he brews in collaboration with his large network of friends among the best international brewmasters. To fully unfold our ambitions, we have chosen to present all of the KISSMEYER beers in a number of distinct portfolios, each with a conceptual idea of it’s own.

'Kissmeyer Beer and Brewing’ is my company, launched in 2010 after I ended my 10 year carreer with Nørrebro Bryghus. Longue description The company spans over three main areas of business - ’Kissmeyer Beer’ is my beer brand offering my own and collaborative beers at home and abroad. ’Kissmeyer Brewing’ is my consultancy business offering services related mainly to the brewing industry. Finally, under the collective name ’Kissmeyer Beer & Brewing’ I offer a wide range of communication services incl. beer tastings and presentations

On tap @ Brøgeriet, Sønderborg. Slightly unclear copper golden body with a nice, tan, lacing head. Aroma is a bit strange spicy/herbal, might be the Tarrow? Unusually in flavor as well, this strange herbal flavor is kind of dominating and after a while it feels a bit like wooden bark. Some malt in the background and slightly harsh bitterness. Medium body and aftertaste with the same flavors as the rest. Not a big hit.

On tap @ Brøgeriet, Sønderborg. Unclear daerk orange body with a nice, dense, lacing, stable white head. Aroma of mature peaches, apricot, marmalade and malt. Flavor is sweet malt, mature citric fruit, sharp bitterness and well bitten alcohol that gives a nice warming feeling. Good body and long aftertaste of sweet malt and bitterhops. Nice classic IPA.

44 cl can served in a red wine glass. A very hazy lemon to golden pour with a thick, fir, consistent, mostly lacing, egg-white head, nice retention. Aroma is lemon zest, lemon drop, lemon juice; grass, earth, and aspirin (sadly I'm noticing this in more than one Danish ale, don't know why.) Dry, slick, zesty. Not too fizzy, medium body. Really bitter, medium to long-lasting finish with piney notes. Mouth is much better than nose.
