Description
Anders Kissmeyer takes the concept of craft brewing very seriously, but at the same time he is also a curious and creative brewer who takes pride in driving the craft towards new heights and in new directions. Rooted in these passions, we will present new takes on well known beer types, along with brand new unique directions and styles.
Anders Kissmeyer is a much larger name in the rest of the world than he is in his own country. This will be reflected in a number of collaboration brews. Beers he brews in collaboration with his large network of friends among the best international brewmasters. To fully unfold our ambitions, we have chosen to present all of the KISSMEYER beers in a number of distinct portfolios, each with a conceptual idea of it’s own.

'Kissmeyer Beer and Brewing’ is my company, launched in 2010 after I ended my 10 year carreer with Nørrebro Bryghus. Longue description The company spans over three main areas of business - ’Kissmeyer Beer’ is my beer brand offering my own and collaborative beers at home and abroad. ’Kissmeyer Brewing’ is my consultancy business offering services related mainly to the brewing industry. Finally, under the collective name ’Kissmeyer Beer & Brewing’ I offer a wide range of communication services incl. beer tastings and presentations

On tap. Clear golden with a creamy white head leaving a broad curtain of delicate lacework. Sweet yet still fresh aroma with both yeast and alcohol showing. Quite full-bodied, sweet sugary fruitiness, yeast and a solid dose of hops in the finish. 260811

Draught at Ølbaren, Copenhagen
Dark brown color, almost black; generous head. Nice smoked aroma, burnt wood, cream. Good body strength, and smooth mouthfeel; caramel flavor, chocolate, light liquorice and smoke; correct bitterness; a bit less interesting at the end, but indeed quite good.

Draught at Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen, as Stockholm Syndrome
Cloudy amber color; creamy head. The aroma is well hoppy, strong, very citrusy. Strong caramel flavor, rather sweet; it’s both resiny and soapy, and this character is quite cloying in big glasses. Strong bitterness, with a good mix of fruits and resins. Not bad, but controversial.

(Draught at Pikkulintu, 20110820) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and light brown. Aroma had roasted malts, chocolate and mildly smoke. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were rosted malts, smoke, hops, coffee, mild sourness and medium bitterness. Aftertaste had smoke, liquorice and bitterness. Nice porter but I would have liked heavier smoke aroma.
