33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Traverse, Utrecht. Pours amber with a beautiful big dense off-white head which lasts forever. Fruity yeasty aroma with hints of banana and peach. Noticable alcohol in the taste, a bit too much in my opinion but later one it just fits in. Long bitter but still fruity aftertaste and lively carbonation.

Bottle 750ml. corked @ PBF2012.Clear medium to dark amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, spicy, moderate yeasty, anis seed. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, spicy, caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. 33 cl. bottle @ home, Bought @ Traverse, Utrecht. Pours dark brown with an impressice tan head. Aroma of caramel, dark fruits and some pepper. Taste is likewise. Nice peppery aftertaste and very lively carbonation. Great beer.

a nice nice taste on this one. not real complex, but complexer than the mediocer ’special’ beer. sweet, but not over the top. comming from someone who doesnt like the ’double’ style, this definatley isnt bad. but, again, to much carbonation. had worse, but had better too !

330 ml bottle, a gift. ABV is 8.5%. Very dark brown colour, excessively huge and lasting beige head. Strong sweetish aroma, notes of pear drops, brown malts, brown kandij sugar, caramel, dark dried fruits and nuts. The flavour is sweet but not extreme, malty and nutty with plenty of brown kandij sugar and caramel, balanced by moderate hops in the finish. Quite enjoyable.

33 cl. bottle @ homa, bought @ Traverse. Golden with a huge dense white head which stays on the beer like whipped cream, a great sight. Spicy peppery vanilla aroma with some yeast. Slightly sweet taste but with enough counterbalance hopbitterness. Dry aftertaste with a pleasant lingering afteraroma in the nose. Great beer.

Bottled@PBF2012. Amber colour, small slightly off-white head. Aroma is caramel, some wood, mild spices, wood and herbal notes. Flavour is fruity, toffeeish, some sweet malts as well as mild yeastyness. Pleasantly balanced as for the flavour.
