Zum 40-jährigen Jubiläum des Wiener Donauinselfests 🎉 gebraut, das die Brauerei großzügig sponsert -und dabei die alleinige Bierlizenz dafür hat. Geschmacklich ist es das, was auf der Dose steht: ein einfaches, leichtes Schankbier. Kein tiefer, aromatischer Körper und auch sonst keine speziellen Aromen. Zum Besaufen zu lauter Musik 🎶 in der Hitze☀️ kann ich es mir gut vorstellen, wo das klassische Ottakringer Helle schon zu schwer ist. Aber es als Spezialität sehen, darf man es nicht.

Draught 30cl. poured into a glass jug @Hotel Schani, Vienna. Cloudy caramel colour, good creamy off-white head, mostly diminishing, good lacing. Aroma toasted malt, caramel, bread, yeasty notes. Taste medium sweet and slightly bitter, malty, caramel, bready, brown sugar, small tart touch. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, malty sweetbitter aftertaste, bready and yeasty notes, again small tart touch, very nice.

Draught 30cl. poured into a shaker @Hotel Schani, Vienna. Clear straw colour, good frothy white head, good retention and lacing. Aroma pilsner malt, bread, grain, grassy hops. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, grain, bread, grass. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, smooth sweetbitter aftertaste, bready and hoppy notes, nice.
