Our brewery resides in the heart of Vienna and has developed into a pulsating event location in accordance with our cosmopolitan flair. The Ottakringer Brewery is the last remaining large Viennese brewery, and also one of the last large, independent breweries in Austria. This independence is extremely important to us as a family-run company. Our approximately 150 employees do everything in their power to keep it that way. The most important keys to our success are high-quality products, a wide variety of beers and our hunger for life, which has become our trademark.

Die Optik zeigt sich klar und hellgoldgelb mit mittelgrober Perlage. Die weiße, fein- bis mittelporige Schaumkrone ist dabei flaumig-stabil und ganz gut haltbar. In der Nase wirkt dieses Bierchen weich-süßlich malzig mit einer leicht floralen Note. Der Antrunk kommt frisch, wirkt leicht fruchtig-malzig, jedoch eher dünn. Am Gaumen vernimmt man in erster Linie einen getreidig-malzigen Charakter. Eine leicht fruchtig-florale Note schwingt dabei mit. Zwar wirkt dieses Gebräu eher einfach und dünn, aber die Aromatik darf man durchaus als rund und stimmig bezeichnen. Das Mundgefühl ist dabei eher wenig aufregend. Von der Süffigkeit her passt es aber ganz gut. Der Nachtrunk fällt nach einer kurzen deutlichen Malznote rasch ab und bis auf eine zarte Hopfenaromatik bleibt nicht viel über. Fazit: Das Design der Dose ist unglaublich toll. Der Inhalt sehr einfach, aber trinkbar.

Can from Billa supermarket in Murau, Austria. Color: Clear orange amber, off-white head. Aroma: Sweetish, malty. Taste: Sweetish, malty, caramel notes, bread / cream cracker notes. Light hints of yellow fruit. Light to moderate hopbitterness. Light hints of almond. Almost creamy mouthfeel. Ok Vienna Lager.

Can. Cheap beer from Hofer supermarket just for the tick, on holiday in a craftbeer-desert in he middle of Austria. Color: Clear golden, white head. Aroma: Malty. Taste: Malty, some grain, very little hopbitterness. Medium body, average carbonation. Drinkable but not much going on...

Can. Color: Clear golden, white head. Aroma: Malty, hoppy background. Taste: Malty, grainy, hoppy background. Moderate sweet and light to moderate bitterness. Medium body, just under average carbonation. Ok: So what kind of 'special brew for Falco 65th Anniversary this is? Pale Lager, Helles, Märzen? Tastes like an 'ordinary' Märzen to me. Ok beer, but if you ever want to brew a beer for my 65th Anniversary:(in about 13 years) please brew a realy special one!
