Ouch! At first blink it’s like Leikeim Steinbier what i taste before. I mean that its aroma is stone-like. Afterwards the taste turns into some caramelic maltiness. But it is weak. Fortunately, because of the stone-feeling. Hardly drinkable. One positve thing: the appaerance: nice amber sparkling colour with some beige frothy head.

can. This is typical Radler. Aroma: lemon. Taste lemon, soda and little bit beer. Nothing special, good for thirst quenching, not more.

Draught at the Schweizerhaus, Prater, Vienna, where they called it "Rotes Zwickl." I am not really sure just what style of beer this is aiming for. It is reddish-brown in color, very cloudy. Has a rich, malty, fruity, and quite sour flavor that even resembles a Flemish ale slightly. It has a slightly sour, yeasty aroma as well. This was very nice stuff, interesting and original, and more complex than their others beers.

Bottle in Vienna. Schnitt seems to be a half-and-half. I suppose it is their Dunkel “cut” (schnitt) with their Helles. Decent stuff. It is unpasteurized. It is a good mix, darker, maltier and fuller-bodied than a helles, yet not as sweet and heavy as their dunkel. A little strange, but a well-balanced, tasty beer.

On tap in Vienna. A terrible beer in the can, ok in the bottle, much better on draft. Full of a fruity malt flavor and aroma. Maybe a touch too sweet, but there is something like tutti-frutti in there too. Very enjoyable and refreshing, with deep malt flavor. Light on the hops.

Bottle in Vienna. Dark yellow. Strong, rich aroma that is also surprisingly hoppy. Rich taste, probably added to by the pumpkin, with good hops and a reasonably nice bitter aftertaste, though not really strong. Medium light body. The pumpkin taste is very slight, adding more of a malty body than a distinctive flavor.

500 ml bottle in Vienna. A rich, slightly dark-colored lager, looks like a real Maerzen. Full, rich malt flavor, with quite a bit of sweetness. A fine, full-bodied lager. Decent hops in the finish, but could really do with a little bit more overall, though it is very nice stuff.

On tap in Vienna. Very cloudy, smooth, creamy, slightly sweet. Very good malt. I would put it at the top of the major zwickl I have had in Austria. Good yeast flavor, medium to heavy body. Very enjoyable.
