Description
When the young Viennese banker Franz Schaup started brewing beer in 1858, he did not expect his small brewery to develop into one of the most successful breweries in Austria over the years.

In the meantime, the Zipf brewery near the Attersee has a proud 13 beers and 3 types of hops, the refreshment with hop lemonade for adults, to their range. A total of 170 employees work directly at the location in Zipf. They are the ones who ensure that everything runs smoothly every day and are responsible for a large part of the success of the Zipfer brand.

Despite the numerous technical innovations and a merger with Brau Union Österreich AG in 1970, the careful use of resources and brewing with natural hops were always in the foreground.

Can picked up from Spar in Mayrhofen, Austria, and consumed at Camping Mayrhofen Sunday 18th August 2019. Refreshing in this relentless heat today, pours silvery gold with a white head, citrussy, plenty of lime, a bit sweet but it's ok.

Pours cloudy amber with a large off-white head. Good retention. Aroma: banana, overripe apples, toasted malts, distant clove. Light plus body. Average carbonation. Taste: medium dry, decently toasted, banana, distant nail polish esters, some hop. Tart and dry ending. Low to light bitterness. I quite liked it.

Bottle. Color: Clear pale golden, white head. Aroma: Lemon. Taste: Malt, moderate bitter, lemon notes. Unlike a lot of other Radlers this one doesn't taste only like sweet lemonade, fortunately. Actually quite nice for a Radler. Under medium body, just below average carbonation.

0.5cl bottle. Looks good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts mild, malty-yeasty, mild hints of caramel, modest sweet. Finish well balanced, soft-malty, not too yeasty. Not bad.
